When words fail us, God knows our heart

Romans 8:26-27 says, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.  We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.”

Sometimes it seems like we’re praying the same thing over and over again, the same words, for a lack of new or different words.  This Scripture from Romans tells us that God’s Holy Spirit helps us communicate with Him when our prayers go beyond words and pleads with God on our behalf, apparently communicating what’s in our heart.  God knows our heart.
