Matt is clearing the church parking lot for the second time this week and a third time this week is possible this weekend. He does is for Jesus. And while he does it for Jesus and for the church, I am still a firm believer in people taking a tax credit for things like this. I joked with him this morning that my pictures and videos on Facebook could even be his documentation for the IRS.
The first chapter of Ephesians says that there’s documentation for you when it comes to heaven. The Message paraphrases it this way: “It’s in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free—signed, sealed, and delivered by the Holy Spirit. This signet from God is the first installment on what’s coming, a reminder that we’ll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life.”
We who are Jesus’ followers need to live like we have nothing to fear, because we have nothing to fear.
