Believing in a Creator and not believing in the resurrection of Jesus

Sunday I spoke about wrestling with believing in a Creator verses believing everything just happens to exist by chance.  It was 34 minutes and you can listen to it here.

Here’s something else I wish I would have said:  If you can bring yourself to believe that there is One who created everything, is it that big of a leap to believe the One who created everything rose from the dead?  If you don’t believe in Creation, that’s one thing, but for someone to believe in Creation and then to poo poo the idea that the same Creator could have risen from the dead seems absurd to me.  Which is more impressive?

For me, creating the earth and the solar system and human life wins hands down.  Compared to that, His resurrection is quite believable.

One Response to Believing in a Creator and not believing in the resurrection of Jesus

  1. Tammy says:

I have had people say they question a man saying he is Jesus, the Son of God. They believe in a Creator, but not Jesus. And why would someone send their son to die for us? That just doesn’t sound realistic, because people just don’t do that. Their comment was “Right!” So the subject is very difficult to explain, as is faith.
