As I was watering some plants around the parsonage today I saw a rainbow in the hose spray. The thought occurred to me that I can make a rainbow appear pretty much any time the sun is out.
Lord, am I doing the right thing?
Show me a sign.

That is ludicrous, I know. If I get out the hose and spray it to make the rainbow, it’s not really a sign from God. Yet many people go to the Bible to pick out a certain verse or they pray, not to hear what God has to say, but as a means to feel better about doing what they want and acting as if they have God’s blessing. There are a lot of man made rainbows in our society.
